Theory of elasticity and viscoelasticity -
the classical contact problems of Hertz and their generalization from the point of view of the friction force calculation and cohesion in the contact area, mixed boundary problems, the interaction of massive deformable bodies with thin-walled elements like stringers and inclusions, mathematical methods of the contact and mixed problem theory of deformable body mechanics.
Mechanics of fracture - the problems of different geometric shape crack spreading in the homogeneous and non-homogeneous elastic and viscoelastic bodies.
